Raphael's 64th Founders' Day celebrated in full swing!!!
The cultural programme started with a Ganesh Vandana and was followed by a foot tapping performance of the parents and students of the early invention centre. A Garhwali folk dance, with the students in bright and beautiful traditional attire, was then followed by a Zumba performance that had the audience clapping along. A small skit with a message to Save Our Trees was followed by a beautiful Kathak performance by the students of the Doon Girls School. The grand finale was a performance of the Oscar winning Natu Natu which had everyone clapping and tapping their feet to the music.
Dr. Singh gave out the awards to Raphael’s students who had achieved the bronze, silver and gold awards for the IAYP programme. Two staff members were given tokens of appreciation for completing 25 years of service. Three staff members who live on campus were given prizes for the best maintained homes.
The programme concluded with Dr. Singh’s address who gave a heart warming speech and promised to help Raphael in its mission. The guests then proceeded to tea accompanied by the playing of the dhol thus concluding yet another successful Founders’ Day celebration.
